Newquay
is Cornwall’s most popular and liveliest resort with many fine
beaches. It is also a major centre for surfing and home to the renowned
Fistral beach. There is plenty to do in Newquay with its own zoo, golf
course, Trenance Leisure Park, Waterworld, Blue Reef Aquarium, Tunnels
Through Time and plentiful night life. There is also an annual Balloon
Festival (weather permitting).
Nearby there is also the Elizabethan Trerice Manor (National Trust), Dairy Land Farm World, the Screech Owl Sanctuary and Lappa Valley Steam Railway, as well as the St.Mawgan Japanese Garden & Bonsai Nursery.

Cubert
itself is a small traditional Cornish village, but for its size has
plenty of amenities. It has a a general store (including a video/DVD
rental service) a post office, a restaurant, an excellent fish and
chip shop and a small park to name just a few. It is also serviced
by a regular bus service to Truro and Newquay – the nearest
town at only 4 miles away. Cubert really is a fantastic base for visiting
all the attractions in Cornwall as well as a great place for walking
along the dramatic coastline of Northern Cornwall.
